A New Home Search

After several years of diligently saving money, I’m nearly ready to purchase my first home. Because I’ve been thinking about buying a home for so long, I know exactly what I want my house to look like. I desire a place that has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. I also need a quiet space to set up my home office in. I want a massive, walk-in closet in my master bedroom. My master bathroom needs to have double vanities, a tiled, walk-in shower, and a Jacuzzi tub. On this blog, I hope you will discover how to set priorities during your new home search. Enjoy!

Get Moving Help Easily Once Your Agent Gives You The Keys To Your New Home!

Elli Jokela

When you are looking at different houses and you find one you make an offer on, you want to be ready to go into escrow if the seller decides to accept that offer. Your real estate agents and lender will have a good idea of how long escrow will be, but keep in mind that things can come up that extend it a little. Once escrow closes that house will be all yours. Once you get the keys you'll probably want to get in there asap. Sometimes, it can be hard to get enough help to make the move easy. There is something you can do to get people together to help you all at once and actually have them looking forward to lending a hand. You can make the occasion fun for everyone and this article will show you how:

Give everyone a bit of notice

Even though you will be anxious to move right in, if you are really in need of help moving your things then you need to take this into consideration. Try to give everyone about a weeks worth of notice, if not a little more. This way, they can make sure they keep that date open or have time to move around some things on their schedule if they need to.

Move on the weekend

You're going to find that you end up with more help if you ask people to help on the weekend when they won't have to worry about changing their work schedule or taking a day off and they won't have to worry about who will be able to pick their kids up from school.

Have a bouncy house put up and one person designated to watch kids

You can have a party rental company come out to the new place and put up a bouncy house in the back yard for the day. This is a great way to keep the kids out of the way during the move. Have someone volunteer to keep an eye on the kids during the moving process, so the parents can focus on helping you move without worrying about what their kids are doing.

Offer everyone plenty of food and drinks

You can have a local restaurant supply a good amount of food and drinks, or even opt to order a large number of pizzas, burgers, etc.

Have the old house ready to quickly move out of

Have everything packed, set where everyone can grab and load and already cleaned. This way, the truck can be loaded up in no time at all and all of you can get over to the new house.

Have fun at the new house

Once everyone (and your belongings) get to the new house you can all enjoy visiting and eating while you slowly unload the moving truck. What you will have accomplished is making moving day a moving/hang out/party day that will make the entire experience less stressful and even exciting for everyone.
